Father, in the name of Jesus Christ,

I come before You with a humble heart. Your Word says, “God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.” So I humble myself under Your mighty hand and ask You to lift me up in Your time.

Lord Jesus, You said, “Abide in Me, and I in you.” Teach me to remain in You. Keep my heart close to You. Let me not be distracted by the cares of this life, the desires of the flesh, or the pride of life. Fix my eyes on You, the Author and Finisher of my faith.

Forgive me for every way I have sought my own will above Yours. Forgive me for pride, impatience, selfish ambition, coldness of heart, and neglecting Your presence. Wash me by Your blood and cleanse me from all unrighteousness.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Restore unto me the joy of Your salvation. Teach me to love You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength, and teach me to love others as myself.

Lord, draw me near to You, for Your Word says that if I draw near to You, You will draw near to me. Let my soul thirst for You as the deer pants for the water. Let Your Word dwell in me richly. Let prayer become my delight, not my duty.

Clothe me with humility. Let the same mind be in me which was also in Christ Jesus, who humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Teach me to decrease, so that You may increase.

Holy Spirit, pour the love of God into my heart. Remove bitterness, offense, jealousy, fear, and anything that keeps me from walking in love. Make me patient, kind, gentle, faithful, and self-controlled. Let the fruit of the Spirit be seen in me.

Lord Jesus, I want to know You more deeply. Not just know about You, but walk with You, hear Your voice, obey Your Word, and enjoy fellowship with You. Let my heart burn for You again. Let my first love be restored.

I surrender my thoughts, desires, plans, relationships, ministry, gifts, and future to You. Let Christ be formed in me. Let my life bring glory to Your name.

Keep me near the cross. Keep me low before You. Keep me full of love. Keep me focused on Jesus.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.
